This four-week series is a comprehensive introduction to Iyengar Yoga, designed specifically for beginners.
You’ll be guided step by step through the foundations of a precision-based practice, with clear instruction in alignment, breath awareness, and safe, sustainable movement. Each week builds progressively, giving you time to learn, feel, and understand the work in your body.
Weekly focus:
Week 1: Standing pose foundations
Week 2: Building strength and stability
Week 3: Seated poses and flexibility
Week 4: Integration and establishing your complete practice
What makes this series distinctive is the methodical use of props (blocks, straps, bolsters, chairs), longer holds that cultivate awareness, and detailed alignment instruction to support both safety and effectiveness.
