Beginners Yoga

The word is out: yoga is great for your physical and mental health, but do you feel unsure about coming to a group studio class? Many folks think you have to be flexible or have a certain body to do yoga - this is simply not true! The vast majority of students at our studio start out as brand new beginners and many come to us with stiff bodies and physical limitations or injuries.

In Foundations classes, we will cover all of the basics and get you started on the road to integrating yoga into your routine. We hope you'll give it a try and let this life-changing practice speak for itself.
What you'll learn:

  • How to do the poses in a way that works for YOUR body.

  • How to use props like blocks, blankets and straps, a chair and the wall to support your practice.

  • Recommendations for YOUR practice including handouts with poses to practice at home between classes.

Look for Foundations classes on our schedule: Sundays at 10am, Wednesdays at 6:00pm and Sundays at 10:00am.
